Client

JCM Fine Joinery are based in Halesowen and provide high-quality custom joinery, washroom solutions and timber products. Typically working with commercial building contractors, bespoke furniture manufacturers and property developers.

COVID-19 - impact

One of the BCGH team reached out to Nat Macaulay who is the business owner at JCM Fine Joinery, shortly after the official COVID-19 lockdown was announced.

The team had worked with JCM before and helped the business to explore options to help with recruitment, training and general growth support.

The business has remained open on a reduced basis during the Coronavirus disruption and Nat has applied for various funding sources, including the Small Business Grant Fund.

JCM originally wanted to secure finance to grow the business and purchase new property. They had found a lender to help with this but due to COVID-19 the deadline had been moved forward and the funding could not be completed in time.

COVID-19 - response

The company has since received a small business relief grant of £10,000 from Dudley Council and has successfully applied to the Bounce Back Loans scheme available from the Government.

The BCGH team suggested various programmes and organisations to help the company secure finance. These included the FSE Group, UKSE and the Funding Circle.

The company are continuing at a good pace through the Coronavirus disruption and the BCGH team will continue to support them in the coming months.
